The French Chamber is pleased to invite you to a breakfast seminar with Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of international institutional affairs at Kering, who will speak about the merging of luxury and sustainability.
The luxury industry has a critical role to play in a moving society toward more sustainable practices: it is in the unique position where it influences and sets the trends and aspirations in fashion, which in turn can ultimately drive and inspire sustainable change.
At Kering, sustainability is seen as a business imperative and is integrated into all aspects of the group; from sourcing and manufacturing of raw materials, to the distribution of products. The group looks for ways to not only reduce its negative impact on the environment, but also to create positive outcomes for people and society. This is a step-by-step journey and the group will meet challenges along the way. Yet fundamentally, Kering believes that becoming a more sustainable business overall will help reduce risk, drive innovation and create business growth and opportunity.
Questions that will be discussed during the seminar include:
- What does sustainability mean to Kering and its luxury brands?
- What is the relationship between sustainability and luxury?
- What concrete solutions has Kering Group implemented, in order to change paradigm and make sustainable business a reality?
