Ceremony for the Extension of Danone’s Factory in the City of Tatebayashi

On Thursday 7 May 2026, the CCI France Japan had the honour of attending the extension ceremony of Danone’s factory located in the city of Tatebayashi, in Gunma Prefecture.

This project reflects the Group’s commitment to meeting the growing needs of Japanese consumers in an increasingly stable and flexible manner. Today, the Japanese market represents a key growth market for Danone, driven by sustained demand and strong development potential.

Since its establishment in 2002, the Tatebayashi factory has been responsible for the nationwide production of Danone products and has actively contributed to the local economic vitality of Gunma Prefecture.

As a benefactor member of the CCI France Japan, Danone Japan welcomed several local representatives as well as the CCIFJ on this occasion to celebrate this new stage in the company’s development and to highlight the strong relationships of trust built with its regional and institutional partners.

François-Xavier Lienhart, member of the CCIFJ Board of Directors, then delivered a speech before Danone Chief Executive Officer Rodrigo Lima, alongside the Mayor of Tatebayashi and the Vice Governor of Gunma, extending his wishes for continued prosperity and success in the Group’s future activities.

The ceremony then continued with a convivial moment of discussion and exchange among the guests.
