Looking Back at the Kansai Christmas Dinner 2022

Kansai Christmas Dinner 2022

On Wednesday 7, we held our CCIFJ Kansai Christmas dinner at FAUCHON L'HOTEL KYOTO. Mr. Jules Irrmann, Consul General of France and Dr. Felix Moesner, Consul of Switzerland were kind enough to attend and delivered empowering and supportive speeches about positive local dynamics and international cooperation to come in the region, with the 2025 Universal Exhibition in focus.

Among nearly 30 guests, our local Ambassador of the Chamber in Kyoto, Max Hayashi, was able to get us Mr. Kodai Kuriyama, national Champion of Taekwondo and official member of the Japanese National Team.

The amazing 6 courses meal was prepared by Executive Chef Kohei Ichikawa, a friendly and energetic character trained by MOF Guy Lassausaie in Lyon. His dishes delighted all participants.

As Christmas presents, L'Auberge du Tanuki Noir provided a "Tour de France" of traditional candies from all regions, Morikawa Clinics gave therapeutic masks and Fauchon delivered their famous macarons. This was the perfect end to a somewhat busy year, with a warm and convivial Kansai gathering.

For those who could not come, see you next time! Many heartful thanks to all those who came, and of course Happy Holidays to all!🎄

Many heartfelt thanks to Hitomi Irrmann, Mathieu Gend, Kodai Kuriyama and Akiko Matsui (Fauchon Hotel) for the pictures they kindly shared.
