Relive BONJOUR FRANCE’s the first event of the year, marked by an exclusive collaboration with Madame Figaro and Mizuka UENO!
The event « Welcome to the world of ballet, the magic of the stage told by Mizuka Ueno, a co-organized event by BONJOUR FRANCE » took place on Sunday, January 25, at the Institut Français de Tokyo. The main guest was the Japanese ballerina Mizuka UENO, principal guest, Ballet Tokyo, interviewed by Kiyomi MORITA, Editor-in-Chief of Madame Figaro Japan. This event offered a unique opportunity to learn more about the dancer’s remarkable career, enriched with personal anecdotes.

In a privileged setting bringing together 100 participants, Mizuka UENO presented her art through various video excerpts, including Swan Lake, notably a version filmed in the industrial heart of Kanagawa, Luna, and Bolero. Many other topics were discussed, such as the importance of makeup in ballet performance, which plays an integral role as part of the costume. During a Q&A session with the audience, she also revealed that one of her favorite manga from childhood was Arabesque, a manga centered on ballet. She also shared that her very first trip abroad was to France. They also discussed which male roles she might have enjoyed performing, one of which could have been the Basil from « Don Quichotte ».

No participant left empty-handed, as everyone received an issue of Madame Figaro, along with goodies featuring Mizuka UENO. In addition, some lucky participants won tombola prizes, including miniature Repetto ballerina shoes and other items featuring Mizuka UENO.
In addition to the event, a special Repetto product booth, showcasing a curated selection of Mizuka UENO’s favorite items, was made available to participants.
