Looking Back at The French Brand Design Seminar, Fukui Desk

[Translate to English:] Brand design

On June 16, the CCIFJ Fukui Desk organized a seminar dedicated to brand concept creation.

After a brief presentation of the Chamber’s activities by our Regional Offices Director, we had the honor of welcoming Ms. Virginie Lefevre, CCIFJ Ambassador in Fukui, who shared her vision of how a brand can stand out through its craftsmanship and know-how.

Designer and entrepreneur, Ms. Lefevre is the founder of the brand Viruxiny. She began her career as a designer for major international fashion houses in Paris, London, Canada, and the United States. Twenty-five years ago, she moved to Japan to teach fashion at ESMOD Tokyo, before eventually settling there permanently.

Based in Fukui for the past 19 years, she founded her own company and has developed a brand that is entirely locally produced. Her creations are now distributed in major department stores such as Isetan, Hankyu, and Mitsukoshi through pop-up sales across Japan. She also works as a freelancer with several local companies and is actively involved in the region’s cultural and media scene, including campaigns such as the Pink Ribbon initiative on Fukui TV, interviews with NHK, and various local publications.

Fukui is a particularly attractive region where traditional craftsmanship coexists with innovative companies that are oriented toward international markets.

The conference was followed by a Q&A session, allowing participants to further explore the topics discussed and ask questions to the speakers.

These exchanges were greatly appreciated and continued in a friendly atmosphere during the networking session that concluded the event.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Fukui Prefecture for its support in organizing this event.
