Yamakita Sustainability Centre : new site for the « Institut d’Economie et de Stratégie Franco-Japonais »

The « Institut d’Economie et de Stratégie Franco-Japonais » recently acquired an old Japanese house with a forest in Yamakita-machi, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, and established Yamakita Sustainability Centre.

Due to the pandemic, which has significantly changed their meeting format, they moved their meeting space at the New Otani to Yamakita, while retaining their headquarters in Otemachi. From now on, they encourage their business partners and clients to enjoy offline opportunities in a green environment distant from Tokyo as an option to their daily meetings for consulting, training and/ or workshop.

Purpose of establishing Yamakita Sustainability Centre

1) Demonstrate our commitment as a company to sustainability based on the ideas of the Global Commons and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's).

2) Experiment and propose future work styles.
They advocate a new way of working and living in response to the recent pandemic, which has changed not only work style but life style in harmony with nature and the environment.

3) Support studying the future and designing visions
In order to help companies and individuals to design and realize their futures and visions, they organize workshops, lectures, trainings and dialogues in an environment blessed with nature and with the positive effects of being relax.
