HR Committee: Empowering staff – An Opportunity in Japan & France

CCI France Japon is pleased to welcome Ms. Bénédicte Chrétien, Crédit Agricole SA‘s Head of Group Human Resources overseeing an organization of HR teams looking after 145,000 employees worldwide.

Together with Bénédicte, we welcome HR professional based in Japan to come for a moment of interactive exchange. She will notably present the following topics:

  • How Credit Agricole manages its human project across such a large number of activities ranging from retail banking, investment Bank, insurance, asset management and specialized financing?
  • What are the key differentiators of CA Group Human-centric project?

This would be followed by an interactive exchange on the various challenge faced by HR professionals between France and Japan, including:

  • Empowering staff – an opportunity in Japan and France
  • How France and Japan tackle the hiring of young and senior professionals?

Bénédicte Chrétien has been Head of Group Human Resources of Crédit Agricole S.A. since 2016. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole S.A. Bénédicte began her career in the Human Resources Department of Axa in 1992, with responsibility for IT roles in insurance. In 1995, she joined the Human Resources team at Axa Investment Managers, the asset management entity of the Axa group. In 1998, she helped set up the private management division at Axa Investment Managers, taking on sales responsibilities. In 2001, Bénédicte Chrétien was given particular responsibility for acquisitions and restructuring, reporting directly to the CEO of Axa Investment Managers. In 2003, she returned to Human Resources then was appointed three years later Operational Head of Human Resources at Axa Investment Managers, where she supported the company's globalisation in the United States, Europe and Asia. In 2010, Bénédicte became Global Head of Human Resources at Axa Investment Managers, a member of the Executive Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Axa Investment Managers Paris. In 2013, she was appointed Head of Human Resources and a member of the Executive Committee of the Edmond de Rothschild group in Geneva. In November 2014, Bénédicte became Head of International Human Resources at Crédit Agricole S.A. She is also a Non-Executive Director at Indosuez Wealth since 2018 and at Amundi since 2023. Bénédicte holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from Paris I Sorbonne University.
