On September 2013, Tokyo was selected to be the host city for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the world’s largest sport event bringing many business opportunities for all industries. As Chief Executive Officer, Toshiro Muto is in charge of running of day-to-day affairs at the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

About the speaker
Toshiro Muto, Chief Executive Officer, The Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (TOKYO 2020)
He is an Honorary Chairman of Daiwa Institute of Research. Former Vice Minister of Finance, and Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan, he is now expanding his horizons with his first venture into the world of international sport, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to ensure the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Muto is a graduate of the University of Tokyo and has a passion for painting.
