The Women in Business Committee of the French Chamber invites you to meet  Veronica Prat van Thiel, Cartier Japan President & Chief Executive Officer, and Floriane Tripolino, CEO & Representative Director of Publicis Groupe Japanon Monday, May 27, 2019, for an exceptional seminar in the conference room "L'Espace" at the new offices of the French Chamber.

Despite the attempts of the Abe Government to enact policies to push for the empowerment of women and gender equality, Japan still ranked 110th among 149 nations according to the World Economic Forum's global gender equality rankings in 2018. One of the several reasons was the very low number of women in managerial positions.

In such a context, sharing the experiences of women leaders such as Veronica Prat Van Thiel and Floriane Tripolino is crucial. During this exclusive seminar, they will discuss their own professional experiences in Japan and abroad, and address the benefits of empowering women in the workforce. 


About the Speakers

Veronica Prat van Thiel - Cartier Japan President & Chief Executive Officer

After graduating in 1996 from the ESCP Europe Management School in Paris, Veronica Prat  Van Thiel began her career in the Marketing & Sales area followed by a career in Management Consulting.

She joined Cartier in 2000 as Project Coordinator in the Organization Department at the head office in Paris. She is then promoted several times: Director in 2002, Supply Chain Organization & Development Manager in 2004 and CRM International Manager in the Retail & Customer Service department in 2006.

In 2011, after having worked as Assistant Boutique Manager in the boutique of Printemps department store in Paris, she is promoted to Retail Director of Cartier UK in London before being relocated in 2014 to Tokyo as Retail Director of Cartier Japan.

In 2017, she takes over her new role as Cartier Japan President & Chief Executive Officer.

Floriane Tripolino - CEO & Representative Director of Publicis Groupe Japan

After graduating CELSA – Paris Sorbonne University, she started her career at BBDO in 1997 and worked in different agency networks including Y&R, JWT and Publicis. The passion she has for brands has been sharpened and strengthened on the many FMCG Brands she has worked on: Pepsi, Masterfoods, Danone, Kraft, Kellogg’s, J&J and P&G to name a few.

In August 2014, she joined Publicis Worldwide as Executive Vice President, Head of Global Clients – APAC. She closely worked for Global Brands like Citibank, AXA, Sanofi, L’Oreal, Heineken and especially P&G.

Floriane Tripolino was appointed as Managing Director of Publicis One Japan In January 2017 and, 2 years later, CEO & Representative Director of Publicis Groupe Japan.
