Hervé MorinPresident of the Normandy Region

Hervé Morin, born in 1961 in Normandy, is a French centrist politician. A graduate of Sciences Po with a master’s in public law, he began his career at the National Assembly and as a university lecturer. Elected to the National Assembly in 1998, he later led the UDF group and served as Minister of Defense (2007–2010).

He has been Mayor of Épaignes, a key figure in Normandy’s reunification, and President of the Normandy Region since 2015. He founded the party Le Nouveau Centre / Les Centristes in 2008 and continues to lead it, promoting centrist and pro-European values.
