Mitsuru Yanase, born in 1974, joined Toyota Tsusho in 1998 on graduating from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Tokyo’s Waseda University. He became the president of Toyota Tsusho Indonesia in 2018. Back in Japan, Yanase took charge of the Unit Machinery Department in 2023 and the Power Train Machinery Department in 2024, both in the Green Infrastructure Division. Yanase joined the board of directors at the Toyota Tsusho subsidiary Eurus Energy Holdings in April 2025. He assumed his present positions in April 2026.
