Bruichladdich Distillery is setting up a whisky pop-up at Roppongi Hills

Bringing the Scottish Isle of Islay to Roppongi, Bruichladdich Distillery is setting up a whisky pop-up at Roppongi Hills from 6th April to 11th.

The distillery, from Islay in Scotland, is known for its focus on barley, which is an often overlooked ingredient in single malt whisky. 100 percent of the barley used at Bruichladdich Distillery is from Scotland, with half of it being sourced from the island of Islay.

The pop-up event will be themed after the barley fields in Scotland and you can stop by to sample several whiskies from the distillery. Expect to find a variety of drams including the Classic Laddie, a non-peated Scotch with a floral aroma, and the Port Charlotte, a heavily peated whisky with a savoury smokiness. Refreshing highballs and whisky cocktails will also be on offer. Pair your whisky with bites inspired by Scottish classics including shepherd's pie and a fancy take on fish and chips featuring lobster.

Bruichladdich Distillery's brand ambassador will also be around during the event to host seminars and answer any questions you may have. You can sign up for the seminars online here (Japanese only).

Aside from the whisky, non-alcoholic drinks will be available and there'll also be a bottle shop if you'd like to purchase whisky to take home with you. Don't forget to scan the QR codes on the tables, which will lead you to a quiz where you can win yourself a free drink for your next visit.
