Business Summit: huge success for our 5th edition
On November 29th, over 800 participants attended the 5th edition of the French Japanese Business Summit titled “Japan as a model for the future - What learnings can be relevant for the world?”, after a series of successful sectorial conferences held throughout the year (on Energy, Healthcare, Space, Mobility...)
Since 2018, the French-Japanese Business Summit has become a flagship event for the French and Japanese business community, aiming to strengthen and highlight partnerships towards the future.
This edition was held in a hybrid format that live-streamed keynotes and plenary discussions featuring over 30 top-level speakers. The participants heard from ISHIBA Shigeru, BAN Shigeru, Christophe WEBER, and many other experts, high level government officials and top-level executives from major companies on the following topics:

The Opening Ceremony gave off an inspiring start with 4 prestigious speakers: Jérôme CHOUCHAN, President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan; MATSUO Takehiko, Director General, Trade Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Philippe SETTON, French Ambassador to Japan and SATO Yoshio, Chair of Committee on Europe of Keidanren.
They all recalled the undeniable qualities of the Japanese model: diligence in work, sense of service and excellence in execution, refinement and finally the importance of the common good. They also tried to bring their answers to the challenges the country is facing today: the aging population, the energy transition, the work-life balance and the gender parity.
During the day, more than 30 high-level speakers shared their views on the Japanese model and reminded us of the importance of France-Japan collaboration to play a key role in the post-covid world.

The lunch served by Chef-owner of Chez Olivier, Olivier Oddos was a great networking opportunity for speakers and participants.
