Enjoy a Weekend of Cycling and Events in Hakuba with Grinduro
Hakuba Hotel Group is proud to be serving as the Key Strategic Partner for Grinduro Japan 2023, an international cycling event which will bring 400 riders to Hakuba for the weekend of October 7-9.
What is Grinduro?
With races in USA, Germany, Italy, Wales and Japan, Grinduro is well known globally among gravel cycling enthusiasts as an event which combines a challenging endurance gravel ride with a weekend long festival featuring great food, art, and high-quality music.
During Grinduro Japan, riders will explore the Hakuba Valley, tackling epic descents and winding trails along rivers and rice fields. The Grinduro Festival will be held at the base of the iconic Olympic Ski Jump Station and will feature both local vendors and installations from international sponsors such as Land Rover, Red Bull, Shimano and Giro to name a few.
Ticket Inclusions
Tickets for the weekend cost ¥28,500 and include the following:
- 80 kilometers of incredible riding in the Hakuba Valley, including singletrack, flow trails, forest trail and stunning views along rushing mountain creeks with four timed race stages.
- A chance to experience one of Japan's most adored destinations, Hakuba is family friendly and offers as much off the bike action as it does in on bike antics.
- Optional prologue timed stage on Saturday (this won't count towards Sunday's results, but we'll have a separate overall stage winner podium with special prizes!)
- Awards ceremony to top three finishers in each category
- Meals on Sunday (snacks + lunch, dinner)
- Drink tickets

Accommodation

Hotel rooms at The Phoenix Hotel and The Marillen Hotel start at ¥18,000/night and include a great western breakfast for. While rooms at HHG’s flagship hotel, THE HAPPO, start at ¥25,000/night with breakfast for two.
Chalets & Apartments
Those interested in staying in a self-contained property are in luck as There are also a range of beautifully appointed chalets starting at ¥50,000/night for the weekend.
