Joint Statement on Cooperation in the fields of Cybersecurity, Aircraft industry and Energy transition

On April 1st, 2026, following the Business Forum held during the French President's official visit to Japan, A Letter of Intent was signed in Tokyo between the representatives of MEDEF INTERNATIONAL, Mr. Frédéric Sanchez, of Business France, Mr. Louis Margueritte, of JETRO, Mr. Susumu Kataoka, aiming to deepen cooperation between France and Japan in the fields of cybersecurity, aeronautics and energy transition.

This was counter-signed by Mr. Jérôme Chouchan, President of the CCI France Japon and Mr. Norbert Leuret, President of CCEF Japon.

This Letter of Intent aims at creating a dynamic between French and Japanesecompanies to deepen cooperation in these three industries that are critical to achieve our goals in economic, security, sustainability and technologicalsovereignty, shared by both France and Japan in the current uncertain global environment.

This Letter of Intent will contribute to structure the follow-up of the Economic Forum entitled “FRANCE-JAPAN PARTNERSHIPS : FOR A SOVEREIGN, SHARED AND SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION”, that was organized on the same day at Tokyo Innovation Base

Business France and the CCI France Japon will offer their services and networks to support French companies in their development projects in Japan, particularly in the strategic fields highlighted in this Letter of Intent.
