Call to “strengthen retention efforts” and “clarify room for pay negotiation” amidst intensifying talent shortage
A call to enhance retention efforts for employers with high rate of professionals considering a career change by the end of 2023
76% of companies surveyed recognize that retention remains a concern among employees and this reflects in the strong trend for professionals surveyed who say they are looking for a career change in the near future. 66% of professionals surveyed say they plan to change jobs by the end of 2023, with 30% already looking for a new opportunityto move jobs. Companies surveyed also say they are beginning to implement retention initiatives ((1) –Hybrid work policy (63%); (2) Improved learning and development (62%) and Diversity and inclusion commitments (44%), however it would be worthwhile to further evaluate these initiatives and how companies can continue to drive retention to reduce further pressure on an already tightened workforce.
