Two Michelin Stars, One Shared Vision at InterContinental Osaka

From 23 to 26 July 2026, InterContinental Osaka will host an exceptional four-day culinary collaboration celebrating excellence, sustainability and French gastronomy.

To mark the 10th consecutive year that its Specialty Restaurant Pierre has been awarded one Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Kyoto-Osaka 2026, the hotel will welcome acclaimed French chef Julien Dumas for an exclusive event entitled "Two Stars, One Vision."

Chef Julien Dumas, who leads the Parisian restaurant Zostera in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, recently earned his own Michelin star in the Michelin Guide France 2026. Renowned for his expertise in seafood cuisine, he is also a strong advocate of sustainable gastronomy, promoting responsible sourcing and zero-waste practices in his daily work.

Having trained under renowned chefs such as Jean-François Piège at Hôtel Plaza Athénée and Jacques Maximin at Rech, Julien Dumas has established himself as one of the rising figures of contemporary French cuisine. In 2024, he was also awarded the prestigious Gault & Millau d'Or in recognition of his outstanding career achievements.

  • The event will open on 23 July with a gala dinner held at HINOKI, featuring a six-course menu paired with wines.
  • From 24 to 26 July, guests will be able to experience a unique culinary collaboration at Specialty Restaurant Pierre through specially curated lunch and dinner menus.

By bringing together two Michelin-starred chefs around a shared commitment to culinary excellence and sustainability, "Two Stars, One Vision" promises to offer guests an unforgettable gastronomic journey between France and Japan.
