Florent Dabadie is a veteran sports journalist and writer based in Japan. From 1998 to 2002, he served as interpreter for Philippe Troussier, the French coach of the Japanese national football team, including at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Afterwards, he worked as a reporter for Fuji TV’s sports program Sport and hosted Grand Slam tennis coverage on WOWOW. Since 2015, he has worked as a journalist and consultant for French and Japanese media, contributing to L'Équipe and France Télévisions’ coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.
In addition, he has been active in cultural exchange projects, including organizing a film festival for Isabelle Adjani at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa in 2012, and planning Arsène Wenger’s Japan tour in 2019.
