Sam Sakamura is Vice President for Hyatt Japan and Micronesia, since joining Hyatt Japan in 2011, has played a key role in driving new development projects for Hyatt brand hotels in the Japan and Micronesia region. He has held his current position since December 2017. Prior to Hyatt, he worked as an Asset Manager for the hotel real estate arm of Panorama Hospitality, a hotel asset management company of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, where he was involved in a wide variety of projects such as acquisitions, renovations, conversions and dispositions. He then joined the Ishin Hotels Group where he was also in charge of hotel real estate asset management.
