Yumiko PATOUILLETGeneral Manager, Tara Ocean Japan

Studied at INALCO, Paris, France, under Japanese Government Scholarship. After graduating from University in Tokyo, has worked successively for BIO MERIEUX in Tokyo and 17 years at L’OREAL Japan, where she held various managerial  positions in finance , for several different brands and  also at  corporate level.
Aspiring to work to contribute to solving and improving social issues, especially global environmental problems,  she joined Tara Ocean Japan in March 2019 and started to develop and bring its activities in japan to a new level.
In 2020, she launched the Tara JAMBIO Microplastic Joint survey Project to investigate the current state of microplastic pollution in Japan’s coastal waters.  At each survey site, also organizing marine environmental education and awareness events for children and local community members.
