Join us for our design thinking committee!

Anne Forrest-Wilson’s new cultural project in Japan, Les 24 heures du roman, brings together 16 renowned French and Japanese authors aboard a train from Kyoto to Matsue to write a novel in just 24 hours.

Beyond the literary and logistical challenge, the project tells another story: how to bring an ambitious cultural idea to life — and secure support from sponsors and institutions — across two distant countries, France and Japan, at a time when culture is under pressure.

  • How did Anne make it happen?
  • How did she keep the spirit of play while working within strict constraints?
  • How did she convince major partners such as JR West and the French government?
  • How did a city like Matsue embrace the project — and what does it reveal about the power of regions?

Come and meet Anne Forrest-Wilson, along with project partners such as Crédit Agricole and JR West, and a special guest — one of the authors involved in the project.
