Air France: Boris Darceaux appointed as General Manager for Japan, Korea and New Caledonia

Air France KLM announced the appointment of Boris DARCEAUX as General Manager of Japan, Korea and New Caledonia, effective 1st September 2022.

He will replace Guillaume Glass, who has held the position since September 2019.

Boris Darceaux brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to Japan proven in the European market where he has contributed to the business performance of Air France KLM. After joining Air France in 1999, he has served several key positions in the organization including Country Manager for Ireland, General Manager for Belgium-Luxembourg and Spain-Portugal. He has most recently held the position of Director Commercial Transformation at the head office where he led projects to reform the business organization and improve operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Boris Darceaux stated:

"It is an honor to be appointed to this position. Since we started our operations in 1951 for KLM and 1952 for Air France, Japan has been a key market for Air France-KLM. Coming up this year for our Japan network, KLM will be introducing the new Premium Comfort Class, and Air France's scheduled operations from Haneda will resume in September, providing our customers with extra travel comfort and more capacity on direct services between Japan and Europe. I am most certainly convinced that together with our partners, we can support the recovery and sustainable growth of international travel for the Japanese market."
