CCI France Japon Expands Network with New Branch Office in Fukui's Koshino Valley
The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan announced that it will open a branch office in Fukui.
As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening economic ties between France and Japan, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (CCIFJ) announced on 28 October the opening of a new branch office at the Koshino Valley Innovation Centre in Fukui. This strategic addition reflects the CCIFJ’s dedication to supporting French, international, and Japanese companies in the region.
Fukui, easily accessible from both Tokyo and Osaka, offers a wealth of attractions, including one of the world’s leading dinosaur museums, a world-renowned temple, and gourmet-rated regional delicacies. In 2020, the Fukui Paris Business Centre will open to promote Fukui crafts in Paris and foster Franco-Japanese relations. The extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train line to Fukui this year has made the region less than 3 hours from Tokyo. This connection is expected to significantly boost the economy of Fukui Prefecture, as Kanazawa experienced a threefold increase in visitors following a similar bullet train extension in 2015.
The opening of the Fukui branch is a major step in the development of economic relations between France and Fukui Prefecture. Through its local presence, CCIFJ aims to support companies from both countries expanding and innovating in each other’s markets, fostering stronger business collaboration.
We are also pleased to announce that members of CCI France Japon can now utilize the Fukui Desk at Koshino Valley for their business activities. This space offers access to a state-of-the-art incubation facility designed for startups, entrepreneurs, and companies looking to expand their operations. Koshino Valley provides a wide range of professional equipment and resources that many businesses already rely on.
The opening event was attended by Tatsuji Sugimoto, Governor of Fukui, Otsuka Tomoki, Director General of Fukui Prefecture, Jérôme Chouchan, President of CCI France Japon, Nicolas Bonnardel, General Manager of CCI France Japon and 11 board members from CCI France Japon.
With offices now in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Gunma, and Fukui the CCIFJ offers a full range of services to help companies expand their market reach.
