Clarins acquires almost 115 hectares of farmland near Nîmes

The group aims to grow a third of its own plant materials by 2030.

“We are proud of the progress we have made in our integrated, ethical and sustainable supply chain strategy,” said Clarins General Manager Virginie Courtin.

A French cosmetics giant, the Clarins group recently acquired nearly 115 hectares of land around Nîmes. The company aims to grow a third of the plants it needs for its products itself.

For reasons of self-sufficiency and quality, more and more French beauty brands (such as Chanel or Lancôme) are acquiring farmland.
