Event Report: Opening Ceremony – Soirée BONJOUR FRANCE 2024
Throwback to the BONJOUR FRANCE Opening Ceremony held on May 17th, 2024.
On May 17th, 2024, the BONJOUR FRANCE Opening Ceremony, which took place at the French Ambassador’s Residence in Japan, gathered 630 people, participants, guests, sponsors, partners and CCIFJ staff members alike.
The Ceremony started with the arrival of esteemed guests:
- Mrs. TAKIGAWA Christel, freelance announcer, who was awarded the title of knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Ordre national du Mérite by the French government for her contribution to the long-lasting relationship between France and Japan.
- Cocomi, flutist and model, whose 2nd album titled “Mélancolie” compiles reinterpretations of famous classical French artists.
- Ms. Klara BLANC, French influencer and model in Japan, who promotes the Parisian lifestyle to her hundreds of thousands of followers.
- Ms Clara BODIN, French model, actress, entrepreneur and MC, who has contributed to the success of BONJOUR FRANCE since 2015.
- And Mr. KASHITANI Ichiro, President of Toyota Tsusho and 3rd vice president of the CCI France Japon.
Our guests joined His Excellency Philippe SETTON, Ambassador of France to Japan, and Mr. Jérôme CHOUCHAN, President of the CCI France Japon. After speeches by Mr. SETTON and Mr. CHOUCHAN, the 2024 BONJOUR FRANCE season was officially inaugurated through a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a flute performance by Cocomi.
The Confrérie du Sabre d’Or performed a champagne sabrage before its ambassador Mr. Bernard ANQUETIL, made a speech and gathered everyone present to raise a toast to the evening. The Ceremony ended with a speech by Mr. KOHARI Yukitaka, director of the Bernard Buffet museum, after which the cocktail party started.
Guests were able to enjoy several sides of the French culture throughout the evening, from gastronomy to lifestyle, thanks to remarkable exhibitions such as the paintings of the Bernard Buffet Museum or the Toyota Motor Corporation sportscars. Several happenings gave the evening an enjoyable rhythm: the cooking performances by chef Bernard ANQUETIL, and the musical performances of singer pianist Philippe MARCHAND and pianist NINOMIYA Yukiko. The opening ceremony ended with a wonderful prize raffle in collaboration with our sponsors.
This evening was a resounding success to our guests and our collaborators, and hints towards a very eventful year for BONJOUR FRANCE. We would like to give our special thanks to the French Ambassy for their patronage. Special thanks to Toyota Motor Corporation, as well as all of our sponsors and partners, for their precious collaboration.
