Mazars appoints Jean Francois Salzmann as the new Managing Partner for Japan

Mazars Japan announced that Jean Francois Salzmann has been elected as the new Managing Partner of Mazars in Japan succeeding Emmanuel Thierry, who will take a new leadership role at Mazars France, covering Sustainability Audit services in Europe. With three decades of fervent experience in professional service industry, Jean François will ensure that Mazars in Japan continues to deliver top-quality services to clients and drive the growth of Mazars in Japan managing day-to-day business operations as well as its planned strategic expansion in Japan and the APAC region.

Jean Francois joined Mazars in 1998 and has been a renowned and seasoned leader in various Mazars country offices which include France, Germany as well as setting up office in Czech Republic and Slovakia and before he became the monitor of Mazars Central Europe activities. Having successfully organised his succession, he became managing partner in Mainland China in 2010 driving the practice to over 5,000 professionals. He is a member of the Mazars APAC board responsible among other for Financial Advisory services, Northern Asia, as well as for ERP global roll out.

With his current appointment, he said: “I have immense respect for what Emmanuel and Mazars in Japan have been able to build and achieve thus far, and I am looking forward to working with the team to expand the business even further. What drew me to this role is the ability to apply all of my previous experiences to building on Mazars in Japan’s outstanding commitment to its people and clients.
