Nissan announces intensified collaboration with Baidu

Nissan Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. recently announced plans to collaborate with two Chinese artificial intelligence giants: Baidu and Tencent.

“We will further improve localization to make us more competitive,” said Nissan President Makoto Uchida.

In the wake of intensified exports to China,Nissan has announced plans to step up cooperation with Baidu in the field of artificial intelligence.

Toyota Motor Corp. also announced the start of a collaboration with Tencent. Hiroki Nakajima also announced that intensified exchanges would be on the agenda, with the marketing of a vehicle incorporating jointly-developed services by the end of the year.
