It is our pleasure to announce that the 2023 Fukuoka Gala Party will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at 18:15, at Hotel Okura Fukuoka.

This year marks the 10th edition of this party, which is held under the theme of Fukuoka's sister city, Bordeaux.

Chef Viven Durand, one star at the Michelin guide, will come specially from Aquitaine French region to prepare a special “One time only” dinner. All wines will be sourced from Bordeaux under the supervision of the Bordeaux Wine Commission (CIVB).

This is a special opportunity to enjoy French gastronomy in Fukuoka. We look forward to seeing you there.

Vivien Durand

Chef 1 star of Michelin Guide

Vivien Durand has been working for 8 years at the Prince Noir in Lormont, a restaurant between the left and right banks of Bordeaux that serves as bridge between history and modern times.

This unformatted chef, with an unconventional rock 'n' roll style and a Southwestern accent, earned his first star in 2013 at the Maison "Eguiazabal, Le bar à vin" in Hendaye.

Vivien set his knives down in the kitchens of the "Prince Noir" in 2014 in Lormont where he confirmed his star nine months later. In this exceptional place, he evolves his cuisine according to the products in an out-of-the-box format.

Because underneath his relaxed demeanor, Vivien Durand is dedicated to products and people. He looks for the best, and he finds it. His team and his cooking have the art of making people forget their great techniques to reveal all their inspiration. A false simplicity for a maximum of flavors.
