We are pleased to invite you to an exclusive guided tour of the Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten Sake Factory, located in Mie. Normally closed to the public, the factory is exceptionally opening its doors for this unique event.
Event Program:
- Guided Tour: Discover the behind-the-scenes of sake production with a detailed presentation of the artisanal techniques used by Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten.
- Sake Tasting: Following the tour, a sake tasting session will be organized in collaboration with a Special Guest. We have the honor of welcoming Sonia Bichet, a French Best Craftswoman (Meilleure ouvrière de France, MOF) in fishmongery, who is visiting Japan for the first time. She will share her expertise and collaborate with local Japanese artisans, offering a unique perspective on the art of fishmongery.
Please note that the Japanese television channel NHK is filming a documentary on Sonia Bichet's stay in Japan and will be present on the day of the event as well.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to dive into the world of sake and learn more about the traditions and innovations of this ancient craft, while enjoying an enriching intercultural exchange.
⚠︎ We can only welcome 15 people.
