Hasegawa KozoGlobal-Dining Co., Ltd. President, Representative Director

Born in Yokohama in 1950, he interrupted his studies at Waseda University in 1971 to travel around Europe before founding Hasegawa Jitsugyo Ltd in 1973 and opening the Hokuokan coffee shop in Takadanobaba, followed by Roppongi Zest in 1976, Café La Boheme, Zest Cantina, Monsoon Cafe and Gonpachi. In 1991, the company opened its first restaurant in the United States, the 'Roppongi Zest'.

In 1991, La Boheme was opened in West Hollywood, Los Angeles as the first restaurant in the US, followed by Monsoon Café in Santa Monica in 1996 (renamed 1212 (twelve twelve) in 2016). In 1997, the company changed its name to Global Dining Inc. and was listed on the Second Section of the TSE in 1999 and TSE Standard Market from April 2022.  As of September 2022, the company has 46 restaurants in Japan and abroad.
