✈️ Aeronautics Conference 2026

The Aeronautics Conference 2026, organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, will take place in Tokyo as part of Nihonbashi Space Week on December 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This event will bring together key players from the aeronautics and space sectors to discuss strategic challenges between France and Japan, particularly in terms of innovation, industrial cooperation, and sustainability.

The program will include:

• A panel dedicated to France–Japan strategic cooperation in defence and space

• A panel focused on civil aviation and human resources challenges

• A transversal panel dedicated to financing and strategic supply chains

• Keynotes from industry experts

This conference will adopt an international approach and address key topics such as space cooperation, satellite technology applications, workforce and talent shortage challenges, as well as financing and critical resources.

Ailes Rouges (Red Wings)

The Ailes Rouges project ("Akai-Tsubasa") commemorates André Japy's Paris-Tokyo raid on a Caudron Simoun, which was cut short in 1936 by a crash near Mount Sefuri just 1,000 km from its destination, aiming to fly the restored aircraft along this final stretch to Tokyo. In 2026, events in France and Japan will mark the 90th anniversary of this flight and celebrate French-Japanese relations.
