Hideo Goto is Senior Vice President of North Asia and President of Schick Japan K.K.　Hideo joined Edgewell in 2022 and built new foundation for the future growth. Hideo successfully turned around Japan business in 2024 and transformed Schick Japan from a shaving to beauty grooming company. Hideo achieved the highest sales and employee engagement in Japan history. In 2025, Hideo expanded his responsibility to lead North Asia region.

With more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Hideo has a strong track record of driving results. Hideo has diverse experience in all beauty categories—skincare, makeup,  hair care, hair color, fragrances, and shaving—as well as channels—mass B2C, professional B2B2C, luxury, and e-commerce.

Prior to Edgewell, Hideo started his career at Johnson & Johnson in 1996, in sales and marketing. In 2005, Hideo joined L’Oréal, where he spent 11 years and turned around several businesses and scaled their growth. Hideo held various leadership positions throughout his tenure, including General Manager in Japan and Taiwan. In 2017, Hideo joined Henkel Beauty Care and turned around businesses while accelerating growth in Japan and South Korea as Country General Manager.

Hideo earned an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2003 in the U.S., and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Meiji University in 1996. 

He is author of the recent book The Proven Recipe for Corporate Transformation (Gentosha/2025), available in English and Japanese.
