MURATA TakanoriWagashi artisan based in Paris, France
Mr. MURATA Takanori has been working in France as a wagashi artisan since 2005. He first gained experience at the Michelin-starred restaurant "Aida" in Paris, then managed the "Walaku" tea room in the 7th arrondissement.
He founded his company, "MARUTOMI PARIS," in 2017, and has since diversified his activities, notably by offering wagashi production for professionals, participating in cultural events and leading confectionery workshops.
He has given wagashi demonstrations at prestigious international venues such as the Maison de la Culture du Japon in Paris, the Milan World Expo in 2015, and the "Japan Night" at the Davos Forum. He actively participates in cultural exchanges in various European countries, thus contributing to the promotion of wagashi culture.
