International Succession : How to Plan Your Succession Successfully

The CCI France Japon is pleased to organise the Tax and Regulations committee, held on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

Managing assets across France and Japan presents unique legal and practical challenges. Differences in succession rules, family law systems, and asset structures can significantly impact how an estate is administered and how beneficiaries are protected. 

This seminar is designed for French and Japanese nationals who hold assets in one or both jurisdictions and wish to organize their succession in a clear and structured manner. It will address how to determine the applicable law in cross-border situations, how the succession generally works and how to coordinate and manage assets efficiently across two legal systems, including drafting a will to help ensure continuity and avoid disputes.
