Tax and Regulations
The JPY weakness is likely to continue for now with the board interest rate differential, with USDJPY holding a risk to renew its recent high of around 160 in H2 2024.
However, the JPY weakness will end over time as the Fed cuts the rate, while structural factors that have underlain its weakness are expected to be reversed.
