LEADERSHIP BEYOND SILOS: SEEING THE BIGGER PICTURE THROUGH SYSTEMS THINKING AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Date: May 18, 2026 (Mon) | Time: 9:00am - 11:00am
In many organizations, people make thoughtful and responsible decisions within their own roles. Yet the overall outcome can still be delays, inefficiencies, or misalignment that no one intended.
Why does this happen?
This interactive workshop invites participants to step back and examine organizations from a broader perspective. Through a combination of experiential learning, group discussion, and a case study, participants will explore how everyday decisions interact across teams and departments.
The session also highlights how, in situations of limited information, people naturally construct interpretations of what is happening, and how these interpretations shape decision making and coordination.
Drawing on systems thinking and organizational psychology, the workshop focuses on how local optimization can unintentionally undermine overall performance, and how shared understanding and shared vision support more aligned decision-making across teams.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Recognize how decisions in one part of an organization can influence outcomes elsewhere
- Understand how limited information shapes interpretation and decision-making
- Identify patterns where local optimization conflicts with overall organizational goals
- Develop a broader perspective that connects individual actions to system-level outcomes
- Reflect on how shared vision and shared understanding can strengthen alignment and collaboration
Target Audience: Anyone interested in improving collaboration and decision-making within organizations.
