On June 26, 2026, the CCI France Japan opens the doors of L’Espace@CCIFJ from 6:00 PM, on the occasion of the exceptional visit of Philippe TROUSSIER, former head coach of the Japan national football team.

 

During the soirée, you will enjoy an exclusive Talk-Show with Philippe TROUSSIER, hosted by Florent DABADIE, presenter, journalist, and sports commentator, who will moderate the discussion.

 

The talk will be followed by a refined and convivial cocktail reception, featuring culinary creations specially designed for the event by Chef Dominique CORBY, offering a unique and gourmet experience.

 

For all enthusiasts of sport, football, and the ties that unite France and Japan, this is a must-attend event, limited to 100 participants to ensure a truly intimate experience!

Philippe TROUSSIER

After a career as a professional soccer player, Philippe TROUSSIER began coaching in the late 1980s. His coaching career took a major shift when he became coach of several African national teams, including Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire. However, it was in Japan that he truly gained popularity. In 1998, he became the Japan's soccer national team coach. Under his tutelage, the Japanese reached the 2002 World Cup, a major achievement for the country. Philippe TROUSSIER put together a highly disciplined team, and as a result is highly respected in Japan for his role in the rise of Japanese soccer on the international stage. More recently, he has decided to move into the world of viticulture. He has even started producing his own wines in the south of France.

Florent DABADIE

Born in Paris in 1974, and graduate of Langues’O, he worked as an editorial assistant for the film magazine Première Japon between 1998 and 2003. At the same time, he interpreted for the French coach of the Japanese national soccer team until the 2002 World Cup. In 2004, he became sports news host for Fuji national television and the WOWOW channel. Later, in 2014, he set up his own production and consultancy company for sports and cultural events.

Dominique CORBY

Born in Paris in 1965, he developed a strong interest in the culinary arts from a young age. Following this passion, he began his culinary career at the age of 15. In 1994, he continued his career in Japan, and even became the director of Le Cordon Bleu Japan. He also opened several restaurants in the Tokyo area in order to share important values, such as introducing French-Japanese cuisine to the rest of the world. But his achievements do not stop there. Among the many titles he holds, he was named Chevalier of the Order of Agricultural Merit in France in 2007, became a member of the Japanese branch of the French Culinary Academy’s secretariat in 2010, and was appointed ambassador for a champagne house in 2018. He is also committed to helping the less fortunate through the creation of the association “Lumière et Espoir pour le Japon.”
