Come and discover a factory with 191 years of history and bottle your own soy sauce!

Workshop visit Aritaya: Traditional Soy Sauce

We are delighted to invite you to visit a soy sauce factory in Annaka, in Gunma Prefecture.

Aritaya is a company founded in 1832 in the town of Annaka. Since its inception, it has been committed to preserving traditional techniques in order to produce high-quality products, making full use of Gunma’s natural resources.

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gunma, Japan, is organising a tour of the Aritaya workshop to discover its history and expertise, in the presence of its artisans.
Following the tour, a tasting of various types of soy sauce and other Aritaya products will be offered, accompanied by dishes specially prepared for the occasion.

Finally, participants who wish to do so will have the unique opportunity to experience pressing soya bean paste and bottling their own soya sauce at the end of the tour. This activity is organised jointly by Aritaya and the Annaka City Tourism Association.

If you wish to take part in the bottling workshop, please select your admission price (member or non-member), then add the relevant workshop ticket when you register. Supplement: 1,500 yen.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Aritaya for welcoming us.
