French artist Marion Flament returns to Japan with her first major solo exhibition

[Translate to Anglais:] L’artiste française Marion Flament revient au Japon avec sa première grande exposition solo

Starting December 4, 2025, the Esther Okada Art Gallery in Yoyogi will present Nothing Seems Certain, the first major solo exhibition in Japan by Marion FLAMENT, a 36-year-old French artist renowned for her bold glass creations and striking play of light. The exhibition will run until December 21, 2025.

Her art explores the poetics of the ephemeral and light as a language, revealing the memory of materials and the traces left by time. Between matter, elements, and duration, her work acts as a sensitive revealer, inviting viewers to change their perception of the world.

In Nothing Seems Certain, Marion Flament seeks to materialize impermanence, fragility, and transformation. Her compositions, often minimalist, balance between the organic and the geometric, between chaos and control. More than a visual demonstration, her work offers an emotional and sensory experience, where texture, color, and light interact in subtle harmony.

Her creations invite us to slow down and observe, to rediscover the beauty of details and the hidden richness within the simplicity of matter. Through this approach, Marion Flament offers a poetic counterpoint to the frenetic pace of the modern world – an art of contemplation and resonance.

Born in 1989 in Reims, Marion Flament lives and works in Paris. A graduate of the École Boulle and the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs de Paris (EnsAD), she is a laureate of the Hermès Glass Academy, the Artists’ Foundation, ADAGP, and CNAP. Her work has been showcased in numerous international art residencies and exhibited in Milan, Munich, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore, confirming her place on the global contemporary art scene.
