Event report: AEON France Fair – BONJOUR FRANCE 2026

Let's relive AEON France Fair - BONJOUR FRANCE 2026 !

From April 24 to 30, the new edition of “AEON France Fair - BONJOUR FRANCE 2026” was held in more than 5,000 AEON stores across Japan. Organized under the patronage of the French Embassy in Japan by BONJOUR FRANCE, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (CCI France Japon), and the AEON Group, this nationwide event showcased French products, gastronomy, and the French Art de Vivre.

The 2026 edition notably highlighted the Occitanie region, in southern France, which was chosen as the featured theme. It also strengthened collaboration with the regional offices of the CCI France Japon, particularly in the Kyushu, Nagoya, and Kansai regions. Also, on April 23, a special opening for the press and media was held at AEON Himonya.

AEON Lake Town, in Koshigaya (Saitama), hosted the official opening ceremony of the event in the presence of several French and Japanese institutional and business representatives. Speeches were delivered by:

  • Gilles BORDES, Head of the Regional Economic Department of Tokyo, French Embassy in Tokyo
  • Jérôme CHOUCHAN, President of the CCI France Japon (Godiva Japan, Inc.)
  • Mitsuko TSUCHIYA, Board Director, Executive Vice President and Executive Officer, Merchandising and Logistics, AEON Co., Ltd

The Kagami-biraki ceremony was then held alongside Yasuyuki FURUSAWA, President of AEON RETAIL Co., and Fabrice SOMMIER, MOF, President of the Union de la Sommellerie Française and founder of the Wine School.

Throughout the week, numerous activities were offered to the public in several AEON Malls across the country, including Talk-Shows, Cooking-Shows, concerts, and live performances. AEON Lake Town notably served as the main operations hub. Various guests took part in these events, including Bebechan, Patric PACHON, and Fanny FERNANDES.

The venue also hosted “Le Marché BONJOUR FRANCE,” where our exponents presented a selection of exceptional products, including Maison Brémond 1830, CLUIZEL, Le Comptoir, Le Jardin Gaulois, Porte Bonheur, Tokyo Gourmande, and GP Create.

The success of this event once again demonstrated the dynamism of Franco-Japanese relations and the shared commitment to strengthening cultural exchanges between the two countries.

We would like to thank all the distinguished guests who attended the opening ceremony, our exhibitors, and everyone who participated in the various events. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
