Entrepreneur français établi à Kyoto depuis 2003, Thomas Bertrand est spécialiste de l’e-commerce et de la logistique. Il est notamment le fondateur de Bento&co, une entreprise qui exporte des articles de cuisine typiquement japonais vers plus de 100 pays, en ciblant à la fois les clients B2B et B2C en ligne et depuis 2012 dans un magasin physique à Kyoto.

En parallèle, il fonde Ship&co, la première solution en ligne au Japon qui sert de lien entre les transporteurs et les plateformes e-commerce, en étant connectée aux trois principaux transporteurs du pays : Yamato, Sagawa et JapanPost. De nombreuses autres collaborations avec les transporteurs internationaux tels que FedEx, UPS ou DHL permettent la numérisation du processus d’étiquetage et d’accélérer les envois.

At the same time, he founded Ship&co, the first online solution in Japan designed to connect shipping carriers with e-commerce platforms. The service is integrated with the country’s three main carriers : Yamato, Sagawa, and Japan Post. Additional partnerships with international carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL have further enabled the digitalization of shipping label processes and accelerated international deliveries.

2003年より京都を拠点に活動するフランス人起業家、トマ・ベルトラン氏は、Eコマースおよび物流分野の専門家です。日本ならではのキッチン用品やライフスタイル雑貨を100か国以上へ輸出する「Bento&co」の創業者として知られ、オンラインを通じたBtoB・BtoC向け販売に加え、2012年からは京都に実店舗も展開しています。

また、同氏は、日本初となる配送業者とECプラットフォームを連携するオンラインサービス「Ship&co」を創設しました。このサービスは、日本国内の主要配送会社であるヤマト運輸、佐川急便、日本郵便の3社と連携しています。さらに、FedEx、UPS、DHLなど海外配送業者との提携を通じて、配送ラベル作成のデジタル化や国際発送の効率化にも貢献しています。
